The Ivy plant covers the world in green making even the deadest spaces come alive. Also known as Lovestone for its revitalising effect on stones and bricks, this spiritual plant was used to crown athletes in Ancient Rome and given to newlyweds as a symbol of love and friendship. The Ivy Cottage continues this tradition.
Situated to catch the last rays of the setting sun, the cottage is tucked away in a private corner of our garden. It has its own stoep and hammock that provides a front-row seat from which to view the sunset. Indoors, evergreen walls in the bathroom reflect the spirit of the ivy outside giving the Ivy Cottage its unique character.
